You know how much we LOVE hand written letters, so when I noticed that Grimm & Co launched a special letter writing competition my little boy set to work straight away and wrote a letter to Graham Grimm from his current make believe world which he described as being full of rainbow coloured sand, pink sunshine's and tiny little fishes swimming in the sea.
We decided to go an adventure to the magical shop to hand deliver the letter personally! myself, my little boy and his two cousins came along for the ride on the new train tram which was lots of fun. The shop was easy to find in the town centre of Rotherham and as we opened the door, strode into a glorious magical world of lotions and potions from spiders legs to Goblin mucus - so many things to explore and see. Sarah (a fully trained elf!) gave us the most magical tour via the wishing well, ruby slippers and ice queen crown.
After, the kiddies sat at the writing desk and wrote a letter with their coloured quills to their favourite characters which got posted enthusiastically into the Fairy Tail mailbox.
We then retired to the library of forgotten books to read. Any one can take a book as they get donated by various people which is brilliant for encouraging kiddies to read. I took a couple to read at Hullaballooboo Babies so am looking forward to theming mid week parties to them!
We had a wonderful time and all three kiddies aged 6,5 and 2 were entertained throughout thanks to the wonderful staff members. Keep your eye on their social media as they often offer various workshops like slime making and creative writing.
It was absolutely perfect for a day out as its so close to Clifton park, so we headed up the hill to play in the fountains, sand pit and the play ground.
Are you travelling in the mortal or magical realms this summer? Send them a postcard to enter!
The closing date is 31st August, so get your feathered quills and write to; Grimm & Co 2 Doncaster Gate, Rotherham, S65 1DJ, mortal realm.
